After an early breakfast, transfer via private vehicle to Alexandria, Egypt's most cosmopolitan city and ancient pearl of the Mediterranean. 

Begin your full-day exploration with a visit to the Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, the largest Roman cemetery in Egypt featuring three levels intricately carved into the rock. Continue to the Ancient Roman Amphitheater, an impressive venue with marble seating for up to 800 spectators, complete with galleries, beautiful mosaic flooring sections, and surrounding Roman villas and baths. Marvel at Pompey's Pillar, a majestic 25-meter-high granite column constructed in AD 297 to honour Emperor Diocletian, standing as a testament to Alexandria's grandeur. 

View the iconic Citadel of Qait Bay from outside, an imposing fortress built on the site of the ancient Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Return to Cairo by evening.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Cairo's most iconic monuments. Visit the breathtaking Pyramids of Giza, constructed around 2500 BC as elaborate necropolises for the kings of Egypt's Fourth Dynasty, representing one of humanity's greatest architectural achievements. 

Stand in awe of the Great Sphinx, an enigmatic monument with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, designed to guard the pyramids from ancient threats. Enjoy strategically planned shop stops at a papyrus fair featuring authentic Egyptian papyrus art, a perfume factory offering traditional fragrances, and a cotton shop showcasing Egypt's finest textiles. Explore the magnificent Temple of Abu Simbel, an extraordinary rock-cut sanctuary built by Ramses II with colossal seated statues of the pharaoh guarding its entrance. Learn the fascinating story of how this temple was buried under desert sand for centuries until its rediscovery in the 19th century, and how it was relocated in the 1960s to save it from Lake Nasser's flooding. 

Return to the cruise ship and sail towards Kom Ombo. Visit Kom Ombo Temple, a unique dual-purpose sanctuary begun during the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, featuring two distinct sections dedicated to the local crocodile god Sobek and the eagle god Haroeris, with beautifully preserved reliefs and hieroglyphics. Continue sailing to Edfu for the evening.

After breakfast aboard the cruise ship, enjoy a scenic journey by horse-drawn carriage to Edfu Temple, one of Egypt's most intact and magnificent temples. This extraordinary sanctuary, built during the Ptolemaic era in the 3rd century BC from sandstone blocks, was constructed to worship Horus, the falcon-headed god, and represents a masterpiece of Graeco-Roman temple architecture. Admire the towering pylons, vast courtyards, hypostyle halls, and the sanctuary with its black granite naos (inner chamber), all remarkably well-preserved. The intricate hieroglyphic inscriptions and reliefs tell stories of ancient Egyptian religious practices and royal ceremonies. 

Return to the cruise ship and sail to Luxor, Egypt's ancient capital and home to countless archaeological wonders. Enjoy dinner aboard the cruise ship.
