Begin your full-day exploration with a visit to the Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, the largest Roman cemetery in Egypt featuring three levels intricately carved into the rock. Continue to the Ancient Roman Amphitheater, an impressive venue with marble seating for up to 800 spectators, complete with galleries, beautiful mosaic flooring sections, and surrounding Roman villas and baths. View the iconic Citadel of Qait Bay from outside, an imposing fortress built on the site of the ancient Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Return to Cairo by evening.

Visit Kom Ombo Temple, a unique dual-purpose sanctuary begun during the Ptolemaic period and completed in the Roman era, featuring two distinct sections dedicated to the local crocodile god Sobek and the eagle god Haroeris, with beautifully preserved reliefs and hieroglyphics.
